Synchronizing files ensures that your data is securely mirrored between two distinct locations (such as a local drive and an external hard drive). Here is how to execute a basic synchronization task in WinDataReflector.
Execution Steps
- Select the Left Folder (Source): Browse your system to select the directory containing the files you wish to copy. Alternatively, you can quickly choose a previously used folder from the history drop-down list.
- Select the Right Folder (Destination): Browse and select the target directory where the files should be synchronized or backed up.
- Click "Process": The software will rapidly analyze both folders and display a visual comparison of their contents, highlighting file differences and statistics in the main tree view.
- Click "Sync": Once you have reviewed the pending actions, click "Sync" to apply the changes and execute the data transfer between the left and right folders.
