How to Change Remote Logs Download Times
By default, the HomeGuard Server efficiently manages network bandwidth by automatically downloading new or modified activity records from all connected client machines every 20 minutes.
However, administrators may wish to adjust this synchronization interval to better suit their network traffic patterns or to enforce data aggregation only during specific off-peak hours. To change the interval and explicitly define when downloads should occur, log in to the main HomeGuard viewer and navigate to the "Remote Machines" section.
Ensure the server component is active, then locate and click the "Automatic Download" icon in the toolbar, as illustrated below.
Setting Custom Sync Intervals
In the resulting configuration dialog, you can add, remove, or modify the exact times of day that the server will actively pull data from the client endpoints. Adjusting these times helps ensure minimal disruption to user performance while keeping your security logs up to date.
